Computer Work Related Injuries

In my research I have found that computer related injuries are very common. Among the injuries they injuries include
-headaches -lower back pain -tension – swelling and weakness of muscles -arm pains -joint issues -neck strains -eye strain -shoulder pains and strains and others that have not been documented. Theses are the most common injuries documented.
All these injuries occur in people who work in a field with computer based work. These injuries usually occur when someone has been working at a computer for long periods of time in a sitting position. Which cause most of the injuries listed.

There are a few ways to prevent these computer related injuries. For instance here are a few methods
-take regular breaks -do stretches beteween task -avoid doing long motionless task -type slightly on the keyboard -use a foot -have keyboard and mouse at a comfortable level -use an ergonomic keyboard – use an ergonomic keyboard – position feet flatly on the floor -use entire arm to use mouse and -avoid long periods of starring at computer screens.

Some of these if not all of these methods can prevent or even eliminated with just a few changes in your work habits and workstation design. So dont become a statistic. Take time and you can avoid being injured.
