 Appearance is how someone looks.  You should wear neat and clean clothing, have a good personal hygiene. You should also have a polite behavior toward others. A smile is very important part of your apperance when meeting others or interviewing for a job. Employers look for all of this during interviews.

A person who is groomed and neat in has a good appearance.  Cleaned and combed hair that is styled appropriately for the job or class is an example of good apperance. Apperance is a very important part of work ethic because the first impression is the most important one. You can never get a second chance at first apperance.



What is leadership? It seems to be one of those qualities that you know when you see it, but is difficult to describe leadership is a tough quality to define. There is always a need for strong leadership. Leadership has been described as the “process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others. Leadership is not just for people at the top. Everyone can learn to lead.

Leadership is a concept, way of life, and aspect of continuous evolution.
Not everyone is meant to be a leader some people are followers. Some people are born leaders and are ready to lead when the moment comes. Those that do lead do so by example because they have learned that you need to take the lead and be your own person. Leaders are hard to come by because some have to be taught to lead. So are you a leader or a follower? Do you take charge or do you let others lead the way for you?


Self-esteem is a term used in psychology to reflect a person’s overall evaluation or appraisal of his or her own worth. A sense of competence, achievement, and self-respect.You need self-esteem, but it doesn’t always come naturally.It is the opinion you have of yourself and your value as a person, self confidence is also a factor.

Most people suffer from a lack of self-esteem. Low self-esteem can causes you to feel fearful of taking chances. Our fears and negative thought patterns about ourselves are all part of your self-esteem. Therefore, low self-esteem causes you to be afraid to take action, to change.


People sometimes think of character as something a person either has or doesn’t have. We recognize the truth that everyone has “character” and we distinguish between “good” and “bad” character.

Character is a complex of mental and ethical traits and are built into an individual’s life. It is those character qualities, those character traits, that determine a person’s response in any given situation.
Character is a very important part of everyday work ethic. It tells alot about you. It show how sensitive you are and if you have a good peerson


I feel like respect is one of the most difficult and disagreed upon issues. I know that respect is very important in any kind of work or school condition. I show that you have good manners and are well behave. Respect will make people enjoy your company. You will be realized for being courteous and respectful. Showing respect is saying yes ma’am, no ma’am, yes sie, no sir, please, and thank you.

To me when it comes to respect I feel it has to earned. If there is no respect given to me I dont feel I need to give respect. If one wants respect it should be shown. If you constantly yelling and disrespecting others their respect level goes down. I know that this isnt all the time but it should it be. Respect should be given to be recieved.


Teamwork is a very important part of good work ethics. I show that you are open to all and any suggestions others may have. Good teamwork is willing to help others who may be stuck on something that you may understand. If you are willing to work as a team you will learn that all your work will and can be done easily.

Teamwork doesnt mean that you are working i a tream at all times. I truly means that you are cooperating with others in a helpful way. I says that I am part of a team and we work well together. So find a way to show good teamwork and your days full of work can be ove before you start it, because others will be willing to assist you.


Communication is very important in both school and work. It will help better understand you and what you are asking for. Being able to commnicate is a very important work ethic skill. Only because not all comminication is good communication. You have to be aware of how you are speaking and what kind of tone you are speaking in.

Communication is one and may be the most important work ethic skill because it is used in everyday life. Communication is not only verbal it is nonverbal. Being able to speak and your nonverbal skills connect will tell a lot about you. In order to be able to communicate with efficiency you have to also be able to listen.
